The announcement text: A major IT Services provider in North London*Hertfordshire has an urgent requirement for a customer focused Helpdesk Agent to join their busy team. Previous helpdesk experience is not required, however some IT skills and customer service experience is essential.

The helpdesk operates on a 24x7x365 basis so you will be required to work a regular shift pattern (including days, evenings, nights and weekends).

During the day shifts, the role will include 1st line telephone support to users of Windows, Office and AS*400 systems, managing the calls on the helpdesk system and ensuring daily checks are completed. During the other shifts, you will be responsible for their data centre operations - ensuring backups are performed, file transfers are completed and generally monitoring the systems to ensure everything is up and running for the next business day.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to start their career in IT as you will gain extensive experience in a very wide variety of systems. There is also the potential to progress within the company.

Access to your own transport will be necessary due to the varied working hours.
